LDNZ’s first ever charity dinner was a huge success
160 people joined us to raise funds for families affected by these very rare diseases.
The Vodafone Cheerleaders opened the evening dancing to the Candyman. They were one of the many highlights of the evening.
Duncan Garner from TV 3 was master of ceremonies, Dean Bell was our guest speaker who held us captive with his presentation, and Frank Vosper from Vosper Reality was our auctioneer for the evening.
The cheerleaders did a fantastic job selling cocktails – there was a zirconium frozen in ice that when found was swapped for a diamond worth $1,500.
All our guests had a key attached to chocolate boxes and had the opportunity to unlock a mystery prize worth $2,000. The winner had much delight in opening the prize to find she had won a laptop computer.
Frank did a fantastic job with the auction helping us raise $30,000 on the auction alone. The final amount raised from the charity dinner is in excess of $50,000.
The cheerleaders delighted us again by closing the evening with their dancing.
LDNZ wishes to thank all those who attended the dinner and gave so generously, as well as our sponsors and those who so willingly donated items for the auction.
Without this generous support the work we continue to do on behalf of our families would not be possible.
