Industry Information

As an information service to patients and families, LDNZ includes links to the websites of the major pharmaceutical companies involved in the development and production of therapies for Lysosomal Storage diseases.

These links are provided as an information service only. We applaud the effort all of these companies make to develop therapies for these devastating diseases, and we will work co-operatively with them and with health authorities to ensure that effective therapies are made available to affected patients, as soon as they are available.

LDNZ cannot offer any recommendation or direct endorsement to the products of any particular company. Decision on the diagnosis and suitable treatment for individual patients must be subject to appropriate medical advice.

These are the major companies involved in developing enzyme replacement therapies or other therapeutic products for Lysosomal Storage diseases, and whose sites are known to LDNZ. Other companies may also be involved in development work on such therapies, and if we are notified of their site details, links will also be added.

Note that company names and ownership change from time to time. Previously listed Novazyme is now owned by Genzyme, and Oxford Glycosciences by Celltech. HemeBiotech changed its name in 2004 to Zymenex.
